SafetyWing Travel Series: Cape Town
Last summer, I applied for the @SafetyWing Nomadic Content Creator job. The assignment? To travel to and document 10 amazing coworking destinations around the world. After pitching my dream itinerary to 10 hiking and freediving meccas around the world, I got the job!
My 10th and final stop was Cape Town, South Africa! Cape Town has some of the most stunning scenery of any city I've been to. Rugged hiking trails, gorgeous white sandy beaches, and gatorade blue water with incredible marine life.
Aside from its natural beauty, the city has both historic charm and a vibrant social life. I was able to meet up with people from all around the world using digital nomad facebook groups. Of all the...

Climbing Ama Dablam

I had the chance to climb Ama Dablam in the fall of 2021 with @Seven Summit Treks Located in the Khumbu region of Nepal, the mountain famously looms over the Everest Base Camp Trek. Its name translates to "mother's necklace," with the the two ridges of the mountain representing the arms of a mother (ama), and the necklace (dablam), being the serac that hangs on its face. Ama is what I call my o...

Last October, I climbed Ama Dablam with Seven Summit Treks, and filmed this vlog from our trek into basecamp. The journey to Ama Dablam basecamp follows the first few days of the Everest Basecamp Trek, and the entire journey was beautiful. This was also my first visit to the Khumbu region, and I hope to visit many more times over the years to come! If you'd like more info on the trek, you can r...
Climbing Yala Peak

As part of our Langtang Valley Trek with Himalayan Masters, @JacksonGroves and I attempt to climb Yala Peak. At 5500m - a modest peak by Himalayan standards - Yala hadn't been climbed in quite some time. Being early in the season, every group before us had failed to reach basecamp due to deep snow, so we enlisted the help of Gyalbu & Sangay to help lead the way. If you're interested in climbing...

Been to these parts 4 times but I wonder if there are any companies who are trying to invent some chemicals to neutralize the stench of these camps. It really distracts from the beauty of the high peaks. It can't be too hard. The hygiene of thee camps surely has the potential to infect the climbers.
Wow 👌👌👌👌🫰🫰🫰🫰

Hello from Madrid. Is this the real peack of Ama Dablam?
A complete whiteout is you dating her
Beautiful video 😍
You have not climbed this mountain but just followed the ropes put in place by Sherpas . It's not mountaineering but just tourism for rich people !
Great video material, great editing, one of the best storytelling, good choice of music. Just spectacular. Wish i do this in the near future only 10% as good as you did
The gods envy us. They envy us because we’re mortal; because any moment may be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we’re doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again.
Happened to see this only in 2024... Why there was no Episode 2 ???
spectacular footage. All the best
The video quality is excellent. Great video, thank u!
저도 올해 11월에 얄라피크를 갑니다 좋은영상 감사합니다. 영상을 참고하여 저도 잘다녀오겠습니다 :)
Very Nice Video do we need any permission for climbing this trekking peak?
No, as of 2024. Only TIMS and park entry fee are needed.
Excellent film! Subbed! Not sure why the algo is keeping the channel views down but your work is very good! Best Wishes from AZ!
감사합니다. Pema 덕분에 궁금했던 amadablam의 장관을 볼 수 있었네요
what month was it pema?
මැරෙන්න කලින් යනවා ❤
Hi Pema. may I know the apps you use to check the mountain's name ?? thank you for your very great video. it helps me a lot.
* The highest peak in the entire America continent and the highest peak outside Asia
Yes. Some other countries’ geography classes do teach people (yours probably being one of them) that Denali & Aconcagua are on the same continent but they are both members of the seven summits & the seven summits challenge considers Denali & Aconcagua on separate continents. As a result people taking on the seven summits challenge(such as Perma Travels here) are required to climb Denali & Aconcagua separately. Even if some countries’ geography classes teach people that they're both on the same continent.
Incredible views!! Do you need to register the drone or get some permission to fly a drone there??
The Andes sooo beautiful!
Jumarimg up a mountain will never be climbing. Still cool, but not climbing.
Amazing shots and vibes! What kind of drone are you using?
All of your climbing videos are just so beautifully edited, love watching these every so often!
thanks a lot for your sharing! I am preparing for this dream mountain, hope i can achieve~
Great vid as always. Check out Elite Exped for their Manaslu Expedition. It’s affordable compared to the other 8000ers. Currently planning a Lobuche East and Ama Dablam combo with them starting mid-October. Look forward more vids, your Ama Dablam one was incredible. Good luck on future travels.
Ah yea. That was the expedition where Nims turned down my O2 behind my back. Not that pumped to relive that, but good luck 😅
whats the app you used which showed you the heights of the himals and outlines
awesome 🤩
Pema, thank you for sharing your story. My wife and I are looking to do this at the end of the year. Can you tell me where and how you were able to fly your drone?
This was so so epic guys!
El Aconcagua la montaña más alta de todo el continente americano 🥰
Good on you. Keep going for it.
hi Pema, nice video, you made it look fun and easy. May I know what month did you go Aconcagua. the trails and summit look dry
Breathtaking
Hello everyone I congratulate you on climbing the dream mountain Ama Dablam. Thank you for the wonderful film. This brings back many unforgettable memories. I wish you nice mountain tours. With alpine greetings Raphael Wellig

great video and what i love was that you showing on mobile screen the name and height of langtang lirung II and laangtang lirung. I expected that when you were at the top of Tsergo Ri too but couldnot see it. Reply me if you have any info regarding the peaks seen from Tsergo Ri. I am needing that information so. Anyway thank you :)
Hi Pema, are you happy with Seven Summit Trek on your Ama Dablam expedition ? As I am considering then on my Ama Dablam Climb
Which time of the year did you guys summit the Yala peak ? Also do you know if we can attempt this climb in the last week of December!? If you could provide some contacts of the locals , it would be of great help.
Hello Pema, I just watched your video, excellent work; thank you for walking me through your expedition. I have scheduled my expedition for Dec 2024; besides working out, do you have any tips for me:? Btw I just subscribed to your channel
Beautiful!
Excellent video Perma! So, when are you planning on going to Denali?
Peccato che per la mania di gransezza di pochi questi luoghi magici vengano trasformati in luna park. Elicotteri, tende, corde, rifiuti. Che tristezza.
Not taking in consideration the himalayas chain, with hundreds of peaks over 7000 meters, and several over 8000, Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the world, not only south America.
That is a lot of not consideration
@@PemaTravels yes, of course, himalayas are by far the highest mountains in the world, but saying highest peak in SOUTH AMERICA is as well a lot of miss consideration, Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the whole American continent (south, central and north america) and is higher than any peak in Africa, Europe, Oceania and Antarctica
@@georginiuss I am very annoyed of having to repeat this multiple times in the comments, but North and South Americans (and other countries in other continents) teach different theories of geography. This relates to the seven summits which includes separate peaks for north and South America. Aconcagua is the highest for South America - just one of the seven summits. Very few places in the world outside of South America teach continental theory with 6, not 7 continents. There are separate models for 4 & 5 continents as well.
@@georginiussYes. Some geography classes do teach people that Denali & Aconcagua are on the same continent but they are both members of the seven summits & the seven summits challenge considers Denali & Aconcagua on separate continents(Both Richard Bass & Reinhold Messner agree with this). As a result people taking on the seven summits challenge are required to climb Denali & Aconcagua separately. Even if some geography classes teach people that they’re on the same continent.
धेरै राम्रो । धेरै गार्हो पनि होइन तर सजिलो पनि छैन ।
You are amazing!!!
incredible. it will be my next target
I feel sorry for the mountain.😞It has fixed ropes permanently in place all the way to the summit. Truly a tamed mountain. Such a civilised 'climb'
